SunModo Corp. of Vancouver acquires Mighty Lift Portland

SunModo Corp. a Vancouver business that produces mounting hardware for solar systems, announced it is the majority owner of material handling company Mighty Lift Portland.

Transaction terms were not announced for the two privately held companies.

Since 2004, Mighty Lift Portland has been designing, supplying and servicing a wide variety of material handling and storage solutions throughout the Northwest. The company offers design, permitting and installation services. Its website features industrial shelving, pallet jacks and safety equipment.

“SunModo and Mighty Lift Portland both offer industry-leading products and technologies that deliver exceptional value to their customers,” Tony Liu, SunModo president, said in a news release. “We believe there are numerous opportunities to leverage both companies’ competitive advantages.”

Scott Peck, Mighty Lift Portland general manager, said “the completion of this acquisition represents an important milestone in the execution of our growth strategy moving forward. SunModo will be a great partner in our mission to provide the most reliable and affordable material handling solutions to our customers.”

Mighty Lift Portland has been rebranded as SunModo Material Handling. The company will remain headquartered in Portland.
