The weather this week is another round of lackluster events. Some rain and snow mixed early today and maybe again on Friday, showers or rain in between and also some dry weather. No real chance of snow covering the ground here at city levels but better chances in Las Vegas. Go figure.
I did get a few reports of wet snowflakes Saturday and several inches falling on the hills above Battle Ground, Hockinson and the Camas/Washougal areas. Not done with winter quite yet are we?
Not much has changed since we chatted on Sunday, highs this week in the 40-45-degree range and lows in the 30-35-degree range. I’m still looking toward warming temperatures and some sunshine but not this week. We may have to wait until March rolls in like a lamb. Fingers crossed.
So far this month, Vancouver is doing well in the precipitation department with 3.07 inches in the rain gauge. That is about a quarter inch above average for a change. The average mean temperature is 6.1 degrees below average and one of the coldest Februaries since 1989. The average mean temperature is 36.9 degrees. Chilly, had enough?
