Battle Ground — Tukes Valley Middle School hosted a lively assembly on Jan. 4 in celebration of a successful donation drive for Battle Ground Public School’s Family and Community Resource Center.

The day featured a few races, asking students to push a yam across the floor using a broom and another asking students to build a snowman as fast as possible by wrapping toilet paper around a classmate.

The main event was a sumo clash between Principal Brian Amundson and Assistant Principal Damen Hermens.
