A Camas woman was injured Saturday afternoon when her vehicle crashed into the back of a pickup on state Highway 14 in Vancouver, according to Washington State Patrol.

Both vehicles were traveling about 2:25 p.m. on westbound Highway 14 approaching Interstate 5 when the pickup, a 2000 Ford F-150, traveling in the left lane, stopped due to congested traffic. A 2019 Honda Fit, also in the left lane, tried to move to the center lane but collided with the right rear corner of the pickup, according to a WSP crash memo.

The driver of the Honda, identified as Angela M. Adkisson, 50, was injured — but in stable condition — and transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for treatment. Her car was totaled and towed from the scene, troopers said.

The pickup’s driver, Cameron M. Nations, 37, of St. Helens, Ore., was uninjured. His vehicle was also totaled and towed, the crash memo states.

Troopers said Adkisson was driving too fast for the conditions.
