Walnut Grove — More than 100 Kaiser Permanente employee volunteers, along with their families and friends, sorted 21,000 pounds of potatoes at Clark County Food Bank in late January.

The potatoes were donated by Seattle-based Northwest Harvest, and will be distributed to 40 of the food bank’s community partners to help those in need.

The Clark County Food Bank was one of 50 service sites where more than 1,200 Kaiser Permanente Northwest employees volunteered this year in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
