Kaden Perry scored 24 points, including the putback basket in the final seconds, to lift the Battle Ground boys basketball team to 59-57 win over Olympia in a loser-out game Thursday in the 4A bi-district tournament.
The win was the Tigers’ third elimination-game win of the tournament and second in two nights.
Battle Ground will face Puyallup on Friday in Olympia in the first of two chances the Tigers will get to clinch a state berth.
The two teams traded leads in the fourth quarter before KeAndre Hunter-Holiday put Battle Ground 55-53 with two minutes to play before Kai Johnson’s two free throws tied the game 55-55.
Perry’s two free throws put the Tigers back up 57-55, but Jackson Grant tied the game 57-57 with 30 seconds to go.
The Tigers worked for the last shot, which was off the mark. But Perry collected the rebound and put it back in for the win.
Nate Millspaugh had 20 points for Battle Ground, including six 3-pointers.
