Girls basketball: W.F. West 65, Ridgefield 31

Thirty turnovers did in the Spudders in a first-round 2A district tournament game in Chehalis.

Madi Haakenson scored 18 points to lead Evergreen Conference champ W.F. West (16-5), which advances to face Black Hills in the semifinals.

Ridgefield, the No. 4 seed from the 2A Greater St. Helens League, faces Woodland in a loser-out game Thursday. Devi Dugan scored eight points to lead the Spudders (12-9), who trailed 37-13 at halftime.
