Walmart gives Police Activities League of Vancouver $2,300 for mentoring program

Hudson Bay — The Police Activities League of Vancouver received a $2,300 grant from Walmart on Grand Boulevard for the league’s mentoring program, Prospere. The school-based leadership development program aims to show teens what success looks like. The program members drive the curriculum, while league staffers facilitate monthly sessions with the support of law enforcement and community mentors. The league is a local nonprofit working to promote positive relationships between law enforcement and local youth through community-based recreational and educational opportunities.
