Vancouver-based event management software company Hubb announced Tuesday that it will move its headquarters in downtown Vancouver’s Esther Short neighborhood later this month.
The new office will be in the historic Greely Building at the corner of Eleventh and Washington streets. Company officials described the move as necessary to accommodate Hubb’s continued growth. The company employs 50 people and expects to hire another 18 thisyear.
“As a growing technology startup, we quickly outgrew our existing space and wanted to find a location that would meet the needs of an expanding team,” said Allie Magyar, founder and CEO of Hubb, who signaled to The Columbian in October that a move was imminent. “This new headquarters is perfectly suited to help scale our business, plus it’s a beautiful space that we instantly fell in love with. We’re excited about working in downtown Vancouver and being active members of the community.”
Magyar founded Hubb in 2015 to commercialize and further develop a cloud-based event management software platform that her team initially created as an internal tool at her event management company Dynamic Events. The two companies previously shared an office in the Walnut Grove area, where Dynamic Events is still located.
Hubb plans to hold an open house for the business community at the new site from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday. For more information, contact info@hubb.me with the subject “Hubb Open House.”
