Boys basketball: Mark Morris 65, Ridgefield 35

Rarey Sommer scored 18 points, Jack Shipley added 16 and the Mark Morris boys basketball team beat Ridgefield in the regular-season finale for both teams.

The visiting Monarchs (13-7, 9-3) outscored Ridgefield 16-2 in the second quarter to take a 32-14 lead. Mark Morris is the 2A Greater St. Helens League’s No. 2 seed to the district tournament.

Ridgefield (11-9, 5-7) currently holds the last of the league’s four district berths. Washougal (8-11, 4-7) needs to beat league champion Columbia River on Wednesday to force a fourth-place tiebreaker.
