A fire that engulfed an abandoned recreational vehicle Saturday night in Woodland is under investigation.

Fire personnel were called to the roundabout at Lewis River Road and East Scott Avenue just after 6 p.m., Clark County Fire and Rescue Chief John Nohr said. The 18-foot, class C vehicle was engulfed by the time they got there, but it was abandoned and extinguished in about five minutes, Nohr said. No injuries were reported.

“A motorhome has a lot to burn in it, but it wasn’t a huge one,” Nohr said.

Witnesses reported early on that people fled the scene of the fire, Nohr said. Woodland police and the Clark County Fire Marshal’s office are investigating the blaze.
