Bagley Downs — The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington received a $20,000 grant from the Jay and Diane Zidell Charitable Foundation to help fund urgent medical care services for low-income, uninsured people in Clark County. “This generous gift helps ensure that the most vulnerable members of our community receive the care they need,” Ann Wheelock, executive director of the Free Clinic, said in a release. “The clinic’s urgent medical services keep people healthy before they develop more serious illnesses and need expensive emergency room care.” This is the 10th gift the Zidell Charitable Foundation has made to the Free Clinic. The foundation is based in Portland and supports programs that promote the community and cultural vitality in and around Vancouver and Portland.
