Clark County Public Facilities District board has open position

Clark County is seeking applicants for one position on the Public Facilities District board of directors.  The candidate must have experience in the lodging industry. The term begins immediately and ends Dec. 31, 2022.

The Public Facilities District was created by the then Board of County Commissioners in 2002 to participate in development of regional centers, such as the convention center in Vancouver and exhibition hall at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds.

Board members receive $50 per day while attending meetings.

Meetings are 4 p.m. the first Monday of February, May, August and November in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest and resume by 5 p.m. Feb. 15 to Alyssa Weyhrauch, County Manager’s Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000 or alyssa.weyhrauch@clark.wa.gov.

Letters should demonstrate knowledge about Clark County and summarize experience in: hotels and convention centers, facility operations and finance, economic development, tourism, marketing and events and promotion.
