The Islanders’ game-winning shot as the buzzer sounded, as the Spudders finished the Nike Interstate Shootout winning one of three games.

But head coach Billy McKinney said he saw nothing but growth from the Spudders during the three-game tournament.

“We made an identity for ourselves,” he said. “We really grew up in this tournament.”

Annika Hill’s shot with 6 seconds to play tied the game at 43-all before the Islanders drew up a play under the basket for Grace Shaddle, who finished with a game-high 28 points.

Kelli Krsul led Ridgefield with 11 points and Hill and Mackenzie Dewey each had 10.
