Girls basketball: Mark Morris 60, Parkrose (Ore.) 46

Mark Morris used its defense to help spark a rally and send the Monarchs into the title game of the Fort Holiday Tournament.

After falling behind 9-2 early, the Monarchs outscored Parkrose 27-7 to close out the half. They then pulled away with a 22-11 advantage in the third quarter.

Brooklyn Schlecht set the tone on defense with six steals to go with her 12 points.

Katie Troy added 11 points and five assists.

Mark Morris will face Corbett (Ore.) for the title at 6 p.m. Sunday.
