Boys basketball: King’s Way Christian 63, Lakeside 47

A big second quarter and hot outside shooting helped the Knights to their second win at the Surf ‘N Slam tournament in San Diego.

King’s Way outscored Lakeside 26-15 in the second quarter and made 14 3-pointers on the day.

Kai Butterworth made 5 of 10 3s as part of his team-best 18 points. Bryson Metz added 14 points and Gage Koenders added 12.
