Police: 12-year-old boy who ran away twice located safe

Update: 5:30 p.m. Saturday: Vancouver police reported that Nash was located about 1 p.m. and is safe.

Update: 4 p.m. Friday: Vancouver police reported that Nash ran away again about 11:35 a.m. Friday, this time wearing a blue and black winter-type coat, black “adidas” pants with a white stripe and athletic shoes.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Update, 9:30 a.m. Friday: Vancouver police reported Friday morning that Nash has been located and is safe.

Original story: Police are searching for a 12-year-old boy who went missing Thursday night from Vancouver’s Cascade Highlands neighborhood.

Around 5:10 p.m., Nash H. Modin disappeared from the parking lot of the New Seasons Market, 2100 S.E. 164th Ave., according to a Vancouver Police Department news release. Nash, who has a history of running away, is not appropriately dressed for the cold weather, police said.

Nash is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall and 100 pounds with sandy blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a grey, hooded sweatshirt with blue sleeves, jeans and grey and neon green Nike shoes.

Anyone with information about Nash’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
