At 10:47 a.m., Battle Ground police officers responded to the 200 block of Southwest 12th Street for a welfare check of a man who was trashing the inside of a house, according to a Battle Ground Police Department news release. Officers determined that the man was involved in a domestic violence incident and had an arrest warrant out of Oregon for felon in possession of a firearm. The man, who was in possession of several firearms, was a significant risk to family members, police said.

David Lynn Cargile, 42, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault-domestic violence, unlawful imprisonment, second-degree malicious mischief, 11 counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
