The Columbia River Renaissance Trail in Vancouver will close for maintenance from Interstate 5 to Southeast Columbia Shores Boulevard starting Thursday.
Over the coming month crews will remove and replace several uneven concrete panels. They’ll also remove roots and other debris and install a root barrier to limit further damage to the trail. Weather permitting, the work should be completed by the end of January.
A detour through the adjacent grass will be available during the closure.
Any questions about the project should be directed to Vancouver Parks and Recreation Park Developer Jeremy Kanooth at jeremy.kanooth@cityofvancouver.us.
