Jaydia Martin got a rebound basket with 10 seconds to play to complete a big fourth quarter for the Hudson’s Bay girls basketball team, lifting the Eagles to a 43-40 non-league win over Skyview on Friday.
“It was just a lot of desire,” Bay coach Michael Rainville said. “We drove to the basket, got fouled, got some offensive rebounds and made some baskets.”
The Eagles erased 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter, and the teams traded the lead over the final two minutes.
Skyview took a 40-39 when Martin drew a foul with 13 seconds left. Martin hit the first free throw to tie the game. She missed the second, but got her own rebound and scored to put the Eagles up 42-40.
