Bloodworks Northwest invites you to join their team of volunteers as an ambassador, providing outreach and helping coordinate blood drives, or as a donor monitor, offering refreshments, scheduling appointments and keeping a close eye on donors after their donation to make sure they feel well before leaving the building.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Washington needs program assistants and bookworm buddies. Program assistants will supervise a program room (art, games, gym, tech, education) with a staff member getting to know the members from first to fifth grade. Bookworm buddies will spend one-on-one time with a member who would greatly benefit from having a tutor or having someone to hang out with once a week.
Metropolitan Performing Arts is always looking for volunteers to help in any capacity from set building, costumes, poster hanging, ushering, organizing and more. This is a great opportunity for the entire family.
nCONNECT seeks volunteers to help with a variety of short-term opportunities including resume workshops, mock interviews or by providing a career day opportunity at their place of business. Other opportunities including providing site tours to high-demand career pathways, academic competition judges and mentors that meet one to four times with students. Locations and time commitments vary.
Smith Tower Apartments, a retirement community, is looking for a computer instructor to help seniors navigate the computer by setting up emails or getting on Facebook. A piano teacher/player is also needed to teach piano or entertain the residents by playing for them. A new piano is on site. Days and times are flexible according to the volunteer’s availability.

The Arthur D. Curtis Children’s Justice Center with the National Children’s Alliance SHINE Campaign seeks volunteers in the community to share words of support with survivors of child sexual abuse. Messages of hope will be shared on the CJC website and social media. Potential ambassadors include adult survivors of child sexual abuse, advocates of survivors, friends and family members of survivors, and those who work to prevent child sexual abuse.
