The Tigers just couldn’t get over the hump despite staying close until the end when Olympia pulled away for the victory.

The game featured two NCAA Division I commits in Battle Ground’s Kaden Perry (Gonzaga) and Olympia’s Jackson Grant (Washington). But both players battled through foul trouble.

Perry scored 14 points and played with three fouls in the first half. He fouled out with 5:54 to play.

Grant finished with 15 points while playing with three fouls.

“It was close all game, we just couldn’t get over the hump,” Battle Ground coach Manny Melo said. “They made 3s, which isn’t typical for them, but hat’s off to hitting the open shot. It was a tough game.”

Nate Millspaugh led the Tigers in scoring with 18 points.
