Tyler Wright was hired as the chief executive officer of the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette. Having served in various roles at YMCAs since 1987, most recently he was president and CEO at the YMCA of the Foothills, La Canada Flintridge, Calif. “One of my top priorities as I learn more about our local Y association, and the communities we serve, is the development of a new strategic plan to guide us in 2020 and beyond. My goal is to understand and then better meet the growing and changing needs of our community,” Wright said in a news release. Headquartered in Portland, the organization has more than 200 locations in the Portland-Vancouver metro area, including the Clark County Family YMCA, 11324 N.E. 51st Circle, Vancouver; and two child development centers: Springfield Meadows, 4317 N.E. 66th Ave., Vancouver, and Orchards, 10401 N.E. Megan Dixon was hired by Integrated Tax Services, 1111 Main St. Suite 400, Vancouver, as its business manager. Previously, Dixon worked in the nonprofit sector for 13 years. David Commisa was hired by Morse Bratt Andrews & Terry, 108 E. Mill Plain Blvd., as an associate attorney. He received a bachelor’s degree from University of North Florida and then graduated from University of Idaho College of Law in 2015. Port of Vancouver Commissioner Jerry Oliver was recognized by the Washington Public Ports Association as an honorary lifetime member. He was presented the award on Nov. 22 at the WPPA Annual Convention in Tacoma for “performing extraordinary service to the port industry, including leadership on port, transportation and maritime issues in Washington state,” according to a news release. Oliver has served as a commissioner since 2007. His term expires Dec. 31.

The Building Industry Association of Clark County recently held its annual President’s Awards Reception on Nov. 21. Award winners included:

• Membership Liaison of the Year: Eduardo Garcia of EGAS Construction.

• Remodeler of the Year: Elizabeth Gomez of Bridge City Contracting.

• Builder of the Year: Affinity Homes.

• Outstanding Leadership Award: Michael Shanaberger of Romano Construction Services.
