The Central Transfer and Recycling Center, 11034 N.E. 117th Ave., will be closed Dec. 11 for scheduled maintenance, according to a press release from Clark County.

Residents who want to drop off garbage or recyclable materials will need to use either the West Vancouver Materials Recovery Center, 6601 N.W. Old Lower River Road, or the Washougal Transfer Station, 4020 S. Grant St. The western Vancouver facility is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the Washougal facility is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The closure will give crews time to replace the central facility’s scale house. The center will reopen Dec. 12 and resume regular business hours, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The closure will not impact curbside pickup of garbage and recycling, the county said. Residents with Wednesday services should still set their carts out for pickup.
