Boys basketball: Washougal 87, Stevenson 49

Jakob Davis had 29 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Panthers to a season-opening win on the road.

Davis also had four 3-pointers in his first game since suffering a knee injury in last season’s opener against Stevenson.

“He was an absolute beast on the court,” Washougal coach A.J. LaBree said.

Jonathan Blackledge had 19 points to lead Stevenson (0-1).
