Boys basketball: Evergreen 84, Heritage 59

Jaden Stanley made five 3-pointers on his way to 24 points, and teammate Carter Monda had four 3s as part of his 18 points and the Plainsmen won their season opener.

Stanley scored 12 of his points in the second quarter, while Monda had eight in that quarter of their team’s 26 points.

Capone Johnson got to the basket often for Heritage, scoring 23 points.
