Battle Ground — While school is starting back up around Clark County, the Battle Ground High School AFJROTC cadets didn’t take the summer off. They participated in a three-week Leadership Laboratory program. They were visited by a Black Hawk helicopter, which allowed students to meet the Washington National Guard crew, observe flight operations and get an up-close look at the aircraft. The cadets also launched 42 rockets as part of NASA’s #GlobalRocketLaunch event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon.
