Update, Aug. 29: Kevin S. Ellis was located alive and well.

Original story: Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 42-year-old man who never returned home from a trip to Portland.

The Vancouver Police Department said in a news release that it was contacted Monday about Kevin S. Ellis, who left his home late Saturday morning and told a family member that evening he was in Portland and would be back in about an hour.

Ellis reportedly never showed up.

Police say Ellis was driving his 2011 Harley Davidson V-Rod motorcycle, which is black with decals of skulls and flames. He is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and 260 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

“According to family members, Mr. Ellis has been experiencing dizziness lately,” police said.

Anyone with information about Ellis’ whereabouts should call 911.
