Event focuses on brain health, fun activities

Take Your Brain Out to Play offers a variety of activities designed to stimulate the brain.

You can participate in container gardening, jewelry making, rock painting, tai chi, coloring and more at the free educational event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, 400 N.E. Mother Joseph Place, Vancouver. The event is intended to introduce stroke and brain injury survivors, and their caregivers, to new skills and information in a fun way.

The Backstrokes will perform live music, and a number of organizations will provide helpful brain injury recovery information.
