Saturday’s Stride for Seniors Charity Walk raised $420,000 for seniors in the Portland metro area. More than 2,500 walkers raised money and awareness for the local nonprofit.
The event included face painting, Earth Day arts and crafts, and an Easter egg hunt. The Diner Vancouver, a new restaurant that supports Meals on Wheels People, provided a free pancake breakfast to participants.
Meals on Wheels People delivers 5,000 meals every weekday to older adults in Clark County, along with Oregon’s Multnomah and Washington counties. Visit www.strideforseniors.org for more information.
