A motorcyclist suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries Wednesday night in a crash in the Burton Ridge neighborhood.

Emergency personnel were dispatched at 7:06 p.m. to Northeast Heron Circle and Northeast Cranbrook Drive. There, they found a man on the ground after a compact SUV and a small motorcycle collided, Vancouver Fire spokesman Joe Spatz said.

The motorcyclist was taken to Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center with a traumatic injury to his left leg, Spatz said.

Vancouver police are investigating the crash. Spatz declined to give additional specifics about the crash due to the ongoing investigation, and police could not immediately be reached for comment.
