nLIGHT earns two 2019 Oregon Technology Awards

Scott Keeney, CEO of nLIGHT, received the 2019 Sam Blackman Award, and the Vancouver laser maker was named technology company of the year for enterprise at the 2019 Oregon Technology Awards.

The Technology Association of Oregon announced the winners Wednesday night at the Oregon Technology Awards ceremony. These awards celebrate excellence and achievement within the region’s vibrant technology community.

Now in their 35th year, the Oregon Technology Awards recognize the state’s most noteworthy technology companies in four categories: Technology Company of the Year, Influential Technology Company Not Headquartered in Oregon, Most Disruptive Technology of the Year and People’s Choice Technology Company of the Year.

“The 35th Oregon Tech Awards are a great opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come in the Oregon tech community over the last three or four decades,” said Skip Newberry, association president and CEO.

Other winners in technology company of the year categories included Megh Computing of Hillsboro, Ore., in pre-revenue; Stackery of Portland in emerging; CrowdStreet of Portland in rising stars; and Jama Software of Portland in growth. CloudBolt of Portland won the award for Influential Technology Company Not Headquartered in Oregon. Cloudability of Portland won for most disruptive technology of the year. Kristina Payne of Lane Workforce Partnership in Eugene, Ore., won for People’s Choice Technology Company of the Year.
