Two people were seriously injured in a crash Saturday night near Pleasant Valley.
Emergency personnel responded shortly after 7:20 p.m. to Northeast 72nd Avenue and Northeast 139th Street. A collision between a Jeep Patriot and a Toyota Camry blocked the southbound lanes, Vancouver Fire Capt. Dave James said.
Two people in their 30s or 40s — one man and one woman — suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital, James said. The man was pinned inside the Camry, and fire crews used extrication tools to remove him.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office, which remained on scene nearly two hours after the crash, is investigating.
