A jogger was taken to the hospital Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle in the Sunnyside neighborhood.

Clark County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched shortly after 6 a.m. to 10018 N.E. 72nd Ave., for a report of a crash involving injuries. Emergency responders, including the Vancouver Fire Department, also responded to the address.

The jogger was wearing black leggings and a reflective vest when they were struck, Sgt. Brent Waddell said in an email. They were taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Waddell did not give further details about the pedestrian’s location when the crash happened.

“No one was cited or arrested at this point, and the call does not indicate anyone was impaired,” he said.
