Vancouver Public Schools recognized for tech use

The Consortium for School Networking recognized Vancouver Public Schools for providing access to devices, high-speed internet and digital leadership to its students.

The school district provides iPads or laptops to all students in third through 12th grade for classroom and at-home use.

The district also provides Wi-Fi networks on buses and covers hotpots for families who do not have internet access in their homes.

Vancouver Public Schools is the third recipient of the Community Leadership Award for Digital Equity from the professional association for school system technology leaders. The district received a $2,000 honorarium.
