Fir Grove Children’s Center gets $5K grant for books

Fir Grove Children’s Center received a $5,000 grant to buy books for students with behavioral needs.

The Vancouver Public Schools campus was recognized by the Wells Fargo and Portland Trail Blazer Foundation’s “Take it to the Court for Education” program.

Books purchased with the grant will feature themes of character development, problem solving, physical education and cooking.

Fir Grove is a day treatment school for students with significant social and emotional challenges.
