Week 3 spring sports prep athlete of the week nominees

Voting, sponsored by Athletes Corner, continues through Thursday

Here are the nominees for The Columbian spring sports prep athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the two-week period ending April 6.

Voting will continue until 8 p.m. Thursday, with results announced in Friday’s edition of The Columbian.

To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.

NICK ALDER, COLUMBIA RIVER BASEBALL: Alder went 6 for 12, with two doubles, a triple, three runs scored and eight RBI in four games in Arizona.

ALYSIA FRALY, PRAIRIE SOFTBALL: Fraly went 6 for 9 with two home runs, five runs and nine RBI in two wins for the Falcons.

LINCOLN KROG, STEVENSON BOYS TRACK AND FIELD: Krog won the long jump and triple jump in a league meet, posting a state-best 1A mark in the long jump.

MACKENZIE SPARKS, RIDGEFIELD GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD: Sparks won the javelin with a state-best 2A mark of 125-6 in a league meet on March 28.

DAUDA WOODRUFF, CAMAS BOYS SOCCER: Woodruff scored five goals in two league wins for the Papermakers.
