Woodland — Woodland Intermediate School third-graders learned proper table manners and how to use a full set of dining utensils while enjoying a multi-course meal during an annual fine-dining event sponsored by Sodexo Dining Services. Laura Perry, head of Nutrition Services for Woodland Public Schools, organized the event, and prior to the meal she visited the selected classroom and taught students proper table manners, appropriate meal conversation topics, how to sit and how to use the variety of silverware at their placemats. This year’s event took place in the school library and parents served as the wait staff. Students politely introduced themselves to their tablemates, including classmates and district staffers such as Woodland Intermediate School Principal Denise Pearl, Superintendent Michael Green and school board members Janice Watts and Steve Madsen.
