After missing all of last season with an injury, Sammi Hampton’s tennis career is back in full swing.

Hampton, a redshirt junior at Arizona State, won doubles matches against Washington and Washington State this past weekend.

A four-time state champion at Skyview, Hampton and doubles partner Samantha Alicea improved to 10-2 on the season. The duo, which is ranked No. 65 nationally, notched the only win for ASU on Sunday against No. 13 ranked Washington.

Hampton is also the No. 4 singles player on the Sun Devils. Her two-set win on Friday at Washington State improved her season record to 6-4.

After finishing her sophomore year with a 27-6 doubles record, Hampton missed all of last year with a knee injury.
