BATTLE GROUND — Battle Ground city councilors voted unanimously Monday night to appoint interim City Manager Erin Erdman to the position on a full-time basis. She has been in the interim role since October, when then-City Manager Jeff Swanson resigned.

Erdman has more than 15 years of experience in government, and prior to taking over as city manager, she worked as Battle Ground’s community development director. She also worked as lead associate planner, development supervisor and permit center manager for the city of Vancouver.

“In her time as interim city manager, she has shown us she is a quality leader with an exceptional work ethic and clear understanding of community needs,” Mayor Mike Dalesandro said in a news release from the city.
