Local breast cancer support organization Pink Lemonade Project appointed three new board members. Dr. Cory Donovan, a breast cancer survivor, is a breast cancer surgeon at Legacy Medical Group. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School, completed a general surgery residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, then completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Also joining the nonprofit is Polina Senchilo, a client relations representative at Chapelle’s Towing, who will act as a liaison between the company and Pink Lemonade Project clients. Born in Kazakhstan, Senchilo has close ties to Clark County’s Russian community. Senchilo serves on the organization’s Pink Glow committee and is a Red Coat Ambassador for the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. Also joining is Adrienne San Nicolas, who “is one of a very few survivors currently involved with PLP who were pre-menopausal and in a child-rearing life stage when diagnosed” with cancer, according to a news release. San Nicolas serves on the organization’s mentor team and is employed by Summit Chiropractic and Massage. Learn more at pinklemonadeproject.org.
