Roldan Alcobendas now owns a significant place in the Eastern Washington record book.
The senior from Camas became the program’s all-time leading scorer in Saturday’s 34-17 win over Montana State.
The placekicker kicked two field goals and four extra points, giving him 244 career points. That put him past the old record of 236, set by Mike Jarrett from 2008-11.
Alcobendas has made 25 of 36 field goals in his career to rank seventh in school history for both field goal attempts and made. He is 5 for 5 this season.
It has been a long journey for Alcobendas, who successfully petitioned for a sixth year of eligibility before this season. He missed almost the entire 2014-15 seasons with a knee injury.
