Senior quarterback Yaro Duvalko threw for 243 yards and three scores as the visiting Skyview Storm rode a 21-point second quarter to a 38-12 win over the Battle Ground Tigers at District Stadium. It was the 4A Greater St. Helens League opener for both schools.
Despite not having the services of leading rusher Jalynnee McGee, the Storm (3-2, 1-0) rushed for 161 yards on the ground with sophomore Brenner Tobiason tallying 78 yards and freshman Gabe Martin ran for 73 yards and a touchdown. Gavin Baskette led Skyview, who hosts Union next Friday at Kiggins Bowl, with 73 receiving yards.
Senior quarterback Seth Workman of Battle Ground (1-3, 0-1) had 100 yards passing and added 39 yards on the ground for the Tigers, who play host to Heritage next Friday.
