2A GSHL football: Columbia River 14, Mark Morris 13

Jarrett Seelbinder’s 22-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter and Cade Lujan’s accurate foot proved to the difference in a 2A Greater St. Helens League game in Longview.

Tristan Hoyer’s 47-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter helped the Chieftains go into halftime tied 7-7 with the Monarchs.

It stayed that way until Keoni Makaiwi caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from Cole Busch in the fourth quarter. The Monarchs missed the conversion kick and led 13-7.

Then two minutes later, Seelbinder caught a pass from Dawson Lieurance to tie the game at 13-13. Lujan’s second conversion kick put the Chieftains ahead to stay.
