The Camas Papermakers opened 4A GSHL league play with a convincing win over Heritage.
Andrew Boyle and Jake Blair’s quarterback partnership shined for yet another week. The two quarterbacks combined for 220 yards passing, three touchdowns and an 81 percent completion rating.
Blair, a sophomore, described the split with his co-quarterback as, “a good battle.”
“Coach just tells us who’s going in, and when were going in, and we go from there… it was a great win,” Blair said.
Boyle also made positive remarks regarding his teams performance.
“The O-line’s doing a great job, (there’s) a lot of receivers stepping up, (and) a lot of different people stepping up which is really good for our team, just to see the depth,” he said. “Great team performance tonight.”
Camas (3-2) will play away at Sumner next week, while Heritage (2-3) will continue its league campaign against Battle Ground.
