BATTLE GROUND — The Battle Ground Police Department is inviting community members to join them for coffee and a chat as part of National Coffee with a Cop day Oct. 3 at the Battle Ground Police Station.

While guests can get a tour of the station, there’s no set topic. According to the department, it’s meant as an informal chance for people to meet with officers and talk.

The event is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. at the station, 507 S.W. First St.

“Citizens of all ages — decaf, regular and non-coffee drinkers alike — are encouraged to attend,” the department said in a news release.
