Northeast Hazel Dell — The first of Vancouver’s Community VolunTOUR Program events was held Sept. 13 at the 78th Street Heritage Farm. The volunteers harvested corn, which was then delivered to the Clark County Food Bank. The program allows for volunteers of all ages to get out around Clark County and experience different areas. During the Sept. 13 event, they learned about the history of the heritage farm. VolunTOUR events are planned between September and May. The next event, which will also take place at the Heritage Farm, is scheduled for 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Gloves, snacks and tools are provided.
