BEAVERTON, Ore. — Spanky’s Legendary Consignment is closing its Beaverton location, the store’s co-owner said Monday.

“It was time to renew the lease. Given the increased cost of doing business we just made the decision we would just close the store,” said co-owner Rachel Phillips, who purchased Spanky’s from its founders nine years ago, in July 2009.

The store at 8625 S.W. Scholls Ferry Road opened in Beaverton in 2012. The projected last day of the Beaverton store is Nov. 15.

“I appreciate the loyal customers we’ve had over the years,” Phillips said.

The Beaverton store’s two employees have been offered the option of transferring to the Vancouver store.

The Vancouver location, at 13503 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Suite 114, is healthy, she said.

“It’s growing this year,” she said.
