Nominees for high school football player of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Sept. 22. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Tuesday with results published in Wednesday’s Columbian.

DALTON PAYNE, WASHOUGAL: Threw for 335 yards and one touchdown, along with a rushing TD, in a 29-14 win over W.F. West.

DANIEL THOMPSON, BATTLE GROUND: Rushed for 218 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-14 win over Prairie.

KEMPER SHROCK, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN: Completed 18 of 19 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-0 win over Riverside (Ore.).

LUC STURBELLE, CAMAS: Caught eight passes for 143 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-35 loss to Bellevue.

ALISAWUAN TAYLOR, UNION: Had four sacks to lead No. 3 Union’s dominant defense in a 41-9 win over No. 4 Chiawana.
