With an increase in poverty, it is important to take action to turn this around. We know what to do to end poverty and the hunger that goes with it, effecting 1 in 5 children, and the 40 percent of Americans that can’t deal with a $400 emergency. We can request Congress to work to end hunger and poverty in the world’s richest country. One group, Results (results.org) educates volunteers to use their voices to do just that. Results is holding an introductory meeting at 10 a.m. Oct. 6 at the Vancouver Community Library. Together we can turn this around.
